Job summary

WHSmith is seeking an Operations Delivery Manager based at Palm Springs, CA, to lead field operations for a single property. This role partners with store leaders and frontline teams to drive performance, people development, and consistent execution across operations.

You will analyze data on sales, labor, inventory, and compliance, then translate insights into action plans that elevate customer experience and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive retail, hospitality, airport, resort, or high-volume operations leadership.
• Ability to lead through influence, coach teams, and drive accountability in a fast-paced property environment.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs, labor productivity, inventory control, shrink reduction, and compliance.
• Excellent communication, organization, follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, operational reporting tools, and business analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store leaders and frontline teams on day-to-day operational routines, customer engagement, and inventory execution.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, root causes, and actionable improvements.
• Strengthen procedures for inventory control, cash handling, and compliance; monitor adherence to company standards.
• Provide coaching and development to improve leadership capability and execution across the property.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support readiness for new initiatives, remodels, and store openings.
