Job summary

WHSmith North America seeks an Operations Delivery Manager to lead field operations at an airport or resort property, driving performance, people development, and execution of standards with store leaders and frontline teams.

Responsibilities include analyzing sales and operations data, implementing action plans, ensuring compliance, and partnering with the Multi-Unit Manager to improve execution and profitability across the property.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive retail, hospitality, airport, resort, or high-volume customer-facing operational leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, coach store teams, support leaders, and drive accountability in a fast-paced property environment.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs, sales drivers, labor productivity, inventory control, shrink reduction, audit readiness, compliance, and expense management.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational performance and execution consistency within an assigned property.
• Lead people development, coaching, and capability-building for store leaders and frontline teams.
• Onboard, develop, and readiness-for-emerging leaders within the property and reinforce leadership effectiveness.
• Provide actionable reporting and insights to property and field leadership on performance trends and risks.
• Improve controls, compliance routines, and safety across the property.
• Translate company priorities into clear direction and routines for store leaders and teams.
• Support promotions, product launches, and merchandising standards to boost performance.
• Collaborate with the Multi-Unit Manager to align on priorities and execution.
