Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services at MSY Airport is seeking a Part-Time Customer Service Agent to support passengers with check-in, gate info, and inquiries. This on-site role requires a friendly, team-oriented approach and a commitment to safety and airline policies.

The position offers hourly pay, weekend and night flexibility, and opportunities to learn airport operations while delivering exceptional customer service to travelers.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• One year of customer service experience
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices)
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials/clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs)
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays (airlines operate 24/7)

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist passengers with check-in, boarding, and general inquiries
• Provide information on flight schedules, gate assignments, and airport services
• Handle check-in and baggage processing efficiently and courteously
• Assist passengers with self-service kiosks and online check-in
• Resolve customer issues and complaints professionally and timely
• Make announcements and inform passengers about changes and boarding times
• Ensure compliance with airline and airport regulations
• Coordinate with ground staff and crew for smooth passenger experience
• Process ticket sales, upgrades, and re-bookings as needed
• Maintain knowledge of frequent flyer programs and loyalty services
• Collaborate with security personnel to ensure passenger safety
• Keep work area clean and stocked
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance customer service skills
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
