HMSHost is hiring a Cook G at Grand Rapids Airport. The role involves preparing foods for multiple stations, following recipes, and ensuring timely service. The job requires knowledge of HACCP, at least 1 year cooking experience in a high-volume setting, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen with a focus on quality and safety. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $18.19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, high-volume and casual dining environment preferred
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry items
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, communicate with customers and team members
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods
• Frequent handling of knives, utensils and hot plates in a hot kitchen environment

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and product directions to prepare, season, cook, taste, carve and serve items
• Estimate food requirements and plan production accordingly
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
• Maintain food safety and sanitation, HACCP compliance
• Operate kitchen equipment and manage ingredient measures
• Stock, date and rotate products and monitor temperatures
