Job summary

Alliance Ground International (AGI) is hiring Office Agents to assist customers during the shipping process, coordinate details, and handle compliance documentation. The role includes documenting procedures, processing cargo, and maintaining safety protocols in a fast-paced facility in New York.

The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Training will be provided to meet TSA and FAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues quickly.
• Basic math for handling payments and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Convey shipping instructions to the customer services counter.
• Retrieve import documents and deliver export documents to and from aircraft.
• Accept cargo in accordance with TSA, FAA, Government and Air Carrier rules.
• Accept dangerous goods per FAA and IATA regulations.
• Release imported freight after CBP clearances and authorizations.
• Collect air freight charges.
• Handle customer calls professionally and courteously.
• Document discrepancies and assist with resolutions.
• Enter data into the company information system and process international cargo documents.
