Job summary

JSM Airport Services, LLC is seeking an entry-level BHS Entry Support Mechanic at Denver International Airport (DEN). This is a career-track role with a commitment of at least one year, performing maintenance on the airport’s Baggage Handling Systems under supervision.

The position offers weekly pay and an hourly rate of $30.70, with fringe benefits according to the City and County of Denver schedule. Must have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and at least one year of mechanical

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Minimum of one (1) year of mechanical work experience.
• Capable of working without direct supervision for more than fifty percent of the time.
• Capable of completing a task with minimal supervision after proper training.
• Fully proficient with, and capable of operating, mechanical hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections, dismantling, repair, and rebuilding of equipment.
• Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance dismantling, repair, and rebuilding of equipment.
• Perform cleaning of all parts of the BHS, as well as all surrounding areas.
• Learn to troubleshoot, repair, replace, and rebuild all mechanical components in the BHS (e.g., sheaves, gearboxes, bearings, motors).
• Learn to inspect BHS equipment for proper operation and performance (conveyors, lifts, diverters, readers).
• Assist with adjustment and reset of belt tension/tracking and other functions.
• Complete required safety and compliance training.
