Job summary

Envoy Air Inc. in Texas is seeking a Ramp Service Supervisor to lead daily ramp operations, ensure safety and efficiency, and maintain on-time performance across shifts.

You will direct teams, coordinate with managers and other departments, train staff, review reports, implement process improvements, and help meet profitability goals while complying with safety and government requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• College degree or equivalent amount of work experience.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license.
• Experience in a team lead, supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Experience in airport operations environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and PC skills.
• May be required to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends.
• Willing and able to work non-standard work schedules when necessary.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Ramp operational experience preferred.
• Experience managing multiple workgroups.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates department activities to run a safe and effective operation.
• Communicates with managers, peers and team members across departments, enforcing policies.
• Provides team with tools, resources and training to meet performance goals.
• Reviews reports and directives to plan department activities and resolve issues.
• Assigns duties, delegates responsibilities, and sets deadlines for timely completion.
• Resolves operational problems during tours of duty, including peak/irregular periods.
• Coaches and counsels personnel on ramp service and performance issues.
• Encourages teamwork to generate ideas and improve operations.
• Coordinates scheduling, hiring and training across ramp service.
• Evaluates performance through quality control measures and customer feedback.
