Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to head a team of skilled technicians in East Alton, IL.

You will drive high-quality maintenance work, coordinate across shifts, and mentor staff to ensure timely, accurate results. The ideal candidate will have an Airframe and Powerplant license, 8+ years of aviation maintenance experience, and at least 4 years in program-specific airframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required and an Airframe and Powerplant license is required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred; 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities; capable of supervising multiple technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to complete jobs with high quality and accuracy.
• Shuttle work to the next shift with effective turnover and communication.
• Train and mentor technicians; supervise daily workloads and project flow.
• Perform general mechanical work on aircraft and related systems; troubleshoot as needed.
• Coordinate projects with team members and customers; ensure safety and FAA compliance.
