Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to lead a team of technicians in a busy hangar environment. The role emphasizes high-quality workmanship, strong problem-solving skills, and independent work on multiple projects.

You will supervise technicians, train staff, and ensure compliance with FAA guidelines while coordinating with customers and management to deliver timely results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe & Powerplant license required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred; 4+ years in program specific airframes.
• Must be able to supervise multiple technicians and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks.
• Ensure smooth turnover between shifts and reduce aircraft turn time.
• Train and mentor technicians; supervise daily workload.
• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems when designated.
• Coordinate projects and communicate with customers in English.
