West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Technician to head a team of specialists in Conroe, TX. You will oversee daily operations, drive project execution, and ensure work is completed with high quality and efficiency in an on-site hangar environment.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years in aviation maintenance, 4+ years on program-specific airframes, and an A&P license. You will mentor technicians, coordinate multiple projects, and ensure compliance with FAA guidelines and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program specific airframes.
• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe & Powerplant license required.
• A valid driver’s license and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks with good judgement.
• Implement turnover of work to the next shift.
• Look for opportunities to reduce turn time of aircraft.
• Help to train/mentor technicians assigned to your projects.
• Supervise team members in daily work load.
• Work independently on projects and lead multiple projects with emphasis on schedule and quality.
• Perform mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems, including panels and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems when designated.
• Inspect aircraft and components as designated.
• Coordinate aircraft movement, performance runs and taxiing when required.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Communicate clearly in English with customers and team.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
