West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician at our East Alton, IL facility. You will lead a team delivering mechanical maintenance, sheet metal work and system evaluations on aircraft, ensuring quality, safety and timely completion.

The role requires an A&P license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and extensive aviation maintenance experience. Overtime and weekend work may be required in a hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Airframe and Powerplant License required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Ability to supervise multiple technicians.

Responsabilités

• Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks with sound judgement.
• Ensure smooth turnover of work to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time.
• Train/mentor technicians on projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and quality.
• Work independently on multiple projects and manage schedules.
