Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft Ltd. seeks a Production Technician in Composites or Assembly to participate in building aircraft components.

You will learn using hand tools and pneumatic fixtures, reading drawings, and following build instructions in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and precision while growing skills in riveting, drilling, and bonding processes essential to Cirrus manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic tools and good judgment in tool selection.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings is preferred.
• Experience with basic assembly tasks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Learn about Assembler role and Cirrus processes.
• Develop early skills in inspecting, building and installing aircraft components.
• Start reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
• Learn about parts fit, clearance, alignment and performance per design requirements.
• Understand cleaning, setup and use of bonding, drilling and holding fixtures.
• Begin installing rivets, screws and bolts with appropriate tools.
• Identify routes for wires, cables and tubing.
• Grow skills in torques hardware and fitting with various tools.
• Learn to understand, follow and document aircraft build instructions.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required, may include respirator.
• Learn to mix and apply adhesives, resins and sealants per instructions.
• Maintain a clear and organized workstation to department standards.
