Job summary

Cirrus is seeking a Production Technician in Composites or Assembly to contribute to building a plane or jet. You will learn to use hand tools and pneumatic fixtures to assemble parts, with emphasis on flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities include learning multiple disciplines, installing components to spec, troubleshooting systems, and documenting defects. Expect a dynamic, hands-on environment with strong safety practices and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years related manufacturing experience.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive or military maintenance is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic tools and selecting proper tool required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft components with attention to fit, clearance and alignment.
• Install components to design requirements and perform functional checks.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and develop solutions.
• Conduct on-the-job training for technicians.
• Document defects on non-conforming articles or parts.
• Set up fixturing for bonding, drilling and assembly.
• Install rivets, screws and bolts with appropriate tools.
• Route wires, cables and tubing and torque hardware.
