Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft Ltd. seeks a Production Technician in Composites or Assembly to assist in building aircraft components.

You will learn to use hand tools and pneumatic fixtures, read engineering drawings, and follow build instructions with attention to quality and safety. Responsibilities include inspecting, assembling parts, and documenting processes while growing skills in riveting, drilling, and final assembly with Cirrus standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and calculate dimensions within a thousandth of an inch.
• Knowledge of basic tools and uses good judgment when selecting the proper tool for the job.

Responsibilities

• Learn about Assembler role and Cirrus processes.
• Develop early skills in how to inspect, build and install aircraft components.
• Start reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understand parts, fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance with design requirements.
• Follow bonding, drilling, and holding fixtures and maintain clean workstation.
• Install rivets, screws and bolts with appropriate tools.
• Identify and learn routes for wires, cables and tubing.
• Learn to work with torque hardware and fittings and test equipment.
• Understand and follow aircraft build instructions and document activities.
• Wear PPE including respirator as required.
• Assist in mixing and applying adhesives, resins, and sealants.
