Job summary

val's services, based in Texas, seeks a Lead Project Engineer to oversee complex system integration on airborne platforms. You will plan, execute, and coordinate program activities through the full lifecycle, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with technical, cost, and schedule baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 7+ years, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
• Experience in program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Knowledge of engineering processes, policies, and bid/proposal development.
• Expertise in aeronautical, software/hardware, or systems engineering roles.
• Leadership experience such as Task or IPT Leadership preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and coordinate program activities across the lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and baselines.
• Ensure compliance with technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve design and integration challenges.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables and design changes.
• Drive resolution of engineering issues and conduct design reviews.
• Engage with customers and senior leadership across program phases.
• Track performance metrics, cost, and schedule variances and provide status updates.
• Support bid/proposal efforts, including bid tools and technical responses.
