Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Project Engineer in Waco, TX to drive complex hardware/software programs for airborne platforms and Digital ICE products. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage program plans, and interface with customers and senior leadership to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires a DoD security clearance, strong program management, and a proven track record in aircraft integration and systems engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant engineering focus; 9+ years of related experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret (SCI) clearance; U.S. citizenship.
Experience in program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within schedule and budget.
Knowledge of Aircraft Integration, Test and Delivery and engineering processes.
Willingness to travel as needed for program opportunities.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional engineering teams in program execution and bid/proposal activities.
Provide technical leadership to resolve design and integration challenges for system integration efforts.
Lead integration of specialized hardware and software for Electronic Attack and Digital ICE products.
Guide program planning, direction, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
Track engineering performance metrics and brief status to senior leadership monthly.
Explain variances in cost/schedule and chart path back to targets.
Ensure compliance with engineering processes, policies, performance, reliability, and safety standards.
Travel to test events, site evaluations, and IPT meetings as required.
