Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an Air Quality & Acoustics Business Line Lead to drive national growth, financial performance, and market positioning. You will partner with the Technical Service Leader, regional offices, and leadership to execute strategic plans, pursue major opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 17 years of applicable experience.
• Experience on construction sites or executing program management in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water.
• Proven success in business development, client management, and team leadership.
• Experience supporting modern delivery methods and digital transformation initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment and work overtime on short notice.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collaborate with owners, contractors, engineers, and designers in multi-disciplined teams.
• Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Drive business performance through sales, revenue, gross margin, backlog, and utilization metrics.
• Develop annual business plans and growth strategies; identify profitability and scalability initiatives.
• Lead national growth strategies, major pursuits, capture planning, and executive client engagement.
• Champion new service offerings and digital solutions.
• Forecast workforce demand and secure resources to meet growth objectives.
• Monitor national utilization and drive cross-regional collaboration to balance workloads.
• Align regional teams around strategic goals and ensure execution through TSLs and leadership.
• Build and sustain strategic client relationships and strengthen the Burns & McDonnell brand.
