Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an Air Quality & Acoustics Business Line Lead to guide strategic growth, financial performance, market positioning, and long-term success of the Air Quality & Acoustics Business Line. The BLL partners with the Technical Service Leader to align technical excellence with national market growth and serves as the primary contact with the National Sales Team.

The role drives growth strategies, leads major pursuits, and champions new service offerings and digital solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, construction management or related field from an accredited program.
• 17 years of applicable experience required.
• Experience on construction project sites or program management in multiple industries preferred.
• Proven success in business development, client management and team leadership.
• Experience supporting modern delivery methods and digital transformation initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment and work overtime on short notice.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collaborate with owners, contractors, engineers, designers in multi-disciplinary teams.

• Drive business performance through sales, revenue, gross margin, backlog, and utilization metrics.
• Develop annual business plans and growth strategies.
• Identify profitability and scalability opportunities.
• Formulate and execute national growth strategies and lead major pursuits.
• Capture planning and executive-level client engagement.
• Champion commercialization of new service offerings and digital solutions.
• Forecast workforce demand and secure resources for growth objectives.
• Mentor future leaders and support succession planning.
• Balance workloads with cross-regional collaboration and optimize utilization.
