Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a national Air Quality & Acoustics Business Line Leader responsible for strategy, growth, and profitability of the Air Quality & Acoustics Business Line. You will partner with the Technical Service Leader to align technical excellence with national market growth and oversee cross-regional execution and client engagement.

The role requires 17 years of experience in relevant fields, strong leadership, and a track record in business development, with a focus on digital

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 17 years applicable experience.required.
• Experience on construction project sites or program management in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water preferred.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and team leadership preferred.
• Experience supporting modern delivery methods and digital transformation initiatives preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment; overtime on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Drive business performance through sales, revenue, gross margin, backlog, and utilization metrics; develop annual business plans and growth strategies.
• Lead major pursuits, capture planning, and executive-level client engagement; commercialize new services and digital solutions.
• Forecast workforce demand with TSLs and regional offices; secure resources for growth; plan for future capabilities.
• Monitor national utilization and capacity; balance workloads; set utilization targets and objectives.
• Align regional teams around common goals; define vision and investment priorities; ensure delivery practices support objectives.
• Build and sustain strategic client relationships and strengthen brand through industry engagement.
