Job summary

Nippon Express UK is seeking an experienced Air Import Coordinator to own the shipment lifecycle, coordinating with airlines and handling documentation and billing to ensure seamless arrivals. You will be the main customer contact, building lasting partnerships with a focus on accuracy and proactive service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires attention to detail, freight forwarding expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high service levels.

Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Air Import Management: Manage the full life cycle of air import shipments, liaising directly with airlines to ensure timely cargo release.
• Logistics & Transport Coordination: Optimize fleet schedules and subcontracted haulage to manage efficient, cost-effective collections and deliveries.
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building long-term partnerships through proactive communication and swift resolution of shipment queries.
• Operational Compliance & ETSF: Oversee ETSF operations and monitor customs systems to ensure rapid shipment turnover and documentation accuracy.
• Financial Administration & Billing: Accurately allocate arrival costs and manage the invoicing process, ensuring data aligns with customer agreements to minimize errors.
• Inter-departmental Collaboration: Partner with warehouse and export teams to maintain precise internal records and achieve operational KPIs in line with Service Level Agreements.
