Job summary

Morrison Express is hiring a Station Operations Manager in San Francisco, CA. You will plan and direct workloads, ensure accurate freight documentation, and oversee training and performance across the station.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years in freight forwarding with air/ocean operations, plus strong customer service and knowledge of Incoterms. You will collaborate with sales and management to meet KPIs and improve service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Minimum 5 years of freight forwarding experience, including air and ocean operations.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience with high standards.
• Knowledge of Incoterms.
• Experience handling bonded freight and out-of-gauge or project cargo.
• Basic understanding of warehousing and trucking operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to respond with urgency.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and customer-service oriented with team success focus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CW1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, direct, and assign workload to station staff.
• Ensure freight is managed efficiently with proper documentation, fulfillment, compliance, costs, and billing.
• Coach and train station staff, including cross-training and MEC trainings.
• Collaborate with MEC sales, management, and internal teams to address customer needs and implement corrective actions.
• Proactively assist MEC members to achieve strategic goals.
• Daily KPI monitoring and reporting; validate AES filing.
• Work with District Manager to monitor P&L and act as secondary owner.
• Maintain relationships with local vendors (truckers and airline carriers).
• Oversee warehousing readiness where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
