Job summary

Morrison Express is seeking an experienced Air Export Supervisor to lead the export team in Boston. The role focuses on prioritizing workloads, communicating with customers and vendors, and ensuring profitable shipments while maintaining compliance with customs and TSA rules.

You will oversee documentation accuracy, manage RFQs, and monitor vendor performance. The position requires strong leadership and a results-driven approach in a freight-forwarding environment.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in key phases of the freight-forwarding industry with focus in Air Export, including supervisory exposure.
• Knowledge of carrier contracts, tariffs, and federal/state regulations.
• Knowledge of export licenses and Carnet procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, and good documentation skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
• Sales experience is a plus and willingness to suggest corrective actions when issues arise.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and organize team workloads to meet KPI goals.
• Act as key communicator with customers and vendors.
• Confirm shipment profitability and expedite low-profit files.
• Manage CNS Report.
• Submit RFQs to gain new business or maintain current business.
• Supervise Air Export Team and serve as escalation point (POC).
• Ensure export documentation accuracy, including customs filing and TSA verification.
• Monitor vendor performance.
• Train Air Export team to achieve performance goals.
• Review Dangerous Goods shipments for airline restrictions and compliance.
• Support department in reducing costs for profitability.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
