The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of air export experience, strong A-Z process knowledge, and familiarity with CargoWise or equivalent systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of air export freight forwarding experience
• Supervisory or team-lead experience in an international freight forwarder
• Strong knowledge of the A-Z air export process
• Experience with airline bookings, AWBs, documentation, routing, and shipment coordination
• Strong understanding of US export requirements and procedures
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced freight environment
• Experience with CargoWise or similar freight forwarding system is preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Air Export Operations team
• Oversee the complete air export process from booking through final delivery
• Coordinate airline bookings, rates, routings, space confirmations, and shipment schedules
• Ensure accurate preparation of AWBs, export documentation, and shipping instructions
• Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues and exceptions; coordinate with airlines, trucking, warehouses, overseas agents, and customers
• Ensure compliance with US export regulations and company procedures
• Review and approve documentation and ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time
• Assist with customer quotations, rate requests, and operational inquiries
• Monitor team performance, workload, productivity, and service levels
• Train, mentor, and develop team members
• Act as escalation point for complex shipments and customer issues
• Work with sales, customer service, and accounting; identify process improvements

This is a hands-on supervisory role for an air freight professional who has strong export operations experience and enjoys leading a team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day shipment process. You will oversee air export operations from A-Z, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with customer and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Air Export Operations team
• Oversee the complete air export process from booking through final delivery
• Coordinate airline bookings, rates, routings, space confirmations, and shipment schedules
• Ensure accurate preparation of AWBs, export documentation, and shipping instructions
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues and exceptionsCoordinate with airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, overseas agents, and customers
• Ensure compliance with US export regulations and company procedures
• Review and approve documentation and ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time
• Assist with customer quotations, rate requests, and operational inquiries
• Monitor team performance, workload, productivity, and service levels

• Work closely with other departments, including sales, customer service, and accounting
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and customer service

Requirements

• 5+ years of air export freight forwarding experience
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience within an international freight forwarder
• Strong knowledge of the A-Z air export process
• Experience with airline bookings, AWBs, documentation, routing, and shipment coordination
• Strong understanding of US export requirements and procedures
