Qualifications

• 2+ years of air import freight forwarding experience.
• Experience coordinating shipments from arrival through final delivery.
• Strong knowledge of airline, customs clearance and delivery procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage air import shipments from A-Z.
• Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, trucking companies and customers.
• Monitor shipment arrivals, delivery schedules and exceptions.
• Prepare and review air waybills, invoices, packing lists and other import documentation.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure all required documentation is completed correctly.
• Track shipments and proactively communicate updates to customers.
• Handle shipment milestones, delivery appointments and proof of delivery.
• Obtain and negotiate rates with carriers and service providers when required.
• Enter and maintain accurate shipment information within the company's operating system.
• Resolve delays, discrepancies and operational issues quickly and efficiently.
• Provide a high level of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable import regulations.
• Assist with invoicing, billing and other administrative requirements.
