This hybrid role is essential in overseeing international air export shipments from initial booking to final delivery, ensuring full compliance with U.S. and global regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international air export shipments from start to finish
- Prepare and review export documentation including MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, and SLI
- Ensure compliance with TSA, CBP, IATA, and other regulatory requirements
- File AES/EEI through ACE in accordance with U.S. export regulations
- Arrange bookings with airlines and negotiate rates when applicable
- Communicate shipment details and updates to customers, overseas agents, carriers, and internal teams
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Ensure accurate billing and cost control
- Maintain accurate shipment records in the company’s operating system
- Support customer inquiries and provide exceptional service
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in air export freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of air export documentation and compliance requirements
- Experience with AES filing (ACE system)
- Familiarity with IATA regulations and TSA compliance
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
