Job summary

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager in Tucson, AZ to lead a cross-functional REA team and drive throughput and yield improvements across multiple factories. You will work with program and factory chief engineers, Value Stream Managers/Leads, SMEs, PTEs and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure alignment, timely qualifications, and efficient execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Experience in integration, verification, validation, and/or maintenance in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of 7–10 REAs including mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Analyze data related to factory throughput and yield; recommend improvements.
• Interface with program and factory chief engineers to ensure alignment with constraints, improvements and routine changes.
• Partner with Value Stream Managers and Leads to ensure program support for throughput and yield targets.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Product Test Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to stay aligned with REA team.
• Maintain budgets and report deviations weekly to peers and the Program Manager.
• Maintain project tracking and review progress with each REA weekly.
• Drive improvements to throughput and yield across multiple factories including Tucson RF/EI and Andover CCA.
