Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide a cross-functional team of Responsible Engineering Authorities in Tucson on-site. You will coordinate with program and factory chiefs to sustain production throughput and yield, while driving improvement projects across multiple factories.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 10+ years of engineering leadership, with strong communication and collaboration skills. Relocation is eligible and a 9/80 schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 10 Years’ prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10years of engineering experience with progressing leadership roles.
• Experience in integration, verification, validation, and/or maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, and/or product qualification environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cross functional team of 7-10 Responsible Engineering Authorities (REAs) including mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Analyze data related to factory throughput and yield and make recommendations for their improvement.
• Interface with program and factory chief engineers to ensure engineering alignment with constraints, improvements, and routine changes.
• Partner with Value Stream Managers (VSM) and Value Stream Leads (VSL) to ensure factory has the program support needed to maintain desired production throughput and yield rates.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Product Test Engineers (PTE), and Manufacturing Engineers (ME) to ensure they are working in lockstep with your REA team members.
