Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team of Responsible Engineering Authorities across mechanical and electrical engineering, ensuring alignment with program objectives and production constraints. The role emphasizes data-driven recommendations to improve throughput and yield.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of engineering leadership, with experience in production environments and complex program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM degree and at least 10 years of experience.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience with progressing leadership roles.
• Experience in integration, verification, validation, and/or maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, and/or product qualification environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cross functional team of 7-10 REAs including mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Analyze data related to factory throughput and yield and make recommendations for improvement.
• Interface with program and factory chief engineers to ensure engineering alignment with constraints and improvements.
• Partner with Value Stream Managers and Value Stream Leads to ensure factory has program support to maintain throughput and yield rates.
• Collaborate with SME, PTE, and ME to ensure alignment with REA teams.
• Communicate with suppliers and travel when necessary to support critical constraints and reviews.
• Maintain material and labor budgets for the IPT and report deviations weekly.
• Maintain a project tracking system and review lists weekly with each REA.
• Innovate to create improvement projects across multiple factories.
