The role requires hands-on experience in air and ocean freight, imports/exports, and proficiency with CargoWise. Independence, strong communication, and meticulous documentation are essential for success

Responsibilities

• Manage international air and ocean import and export shipments

• Coordinate with airlines, steamship lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents and truckers
• Prepare and process shipping documentation
• Manage pre-alerts, arrival notices and shipment releases
• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers where required
• Monitor shipment milestones, cut-offs and delivery deadlines
• Provide proactive updates to customers
• Resolve delays, documentation issues and operational problems
• Maintain accurate files and shipment information within CargoWise
• Complete files accurately for billing and operational closure

We are working with an international freight forwarder looking to add an experienced Air & Ocean Freight Agent to its team on a fully remote basis anywhere in the USA.

This is a hands-on operational role managing international air and ocean shipments from start to finish, with responsibility for customer communication, carrier coordination and shipment execution.
