Job summary

FreightTAS in Houston, TX is seeking an Air Ocean Freight Coordinator/Agent to manage air shipments from origin to final delivery. The role requires hands-on air freight operations experience and CargoWise proficiency.

You will coordinate bookings, prepare docs, track shipments, and support quotes across an international network with flexible onsite, hybrid, or remote work.

The ideal candidate has AES/TSA knowledge, can juggle multiple priority shipments, and deliver strong client service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on air freight operations in freight forwarding.
• Strong air export and/or air import operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage air freight shipments A–Z from origin to final delivery.
• Book cargo and coordinate pickups; prepare documentation; follow up with airlines; track shipments.
• Coordinate bookings with airlines and truckers and manage docs.
• Monitor milestones, flag delays/exceptions early, and fix issues to hold service levels.
• Keep documentation, system updates, costs, and final billing accurate.
• Support air freight quotes by checking routing, transit times, capacity, and feasibility.
• Handle priority and complex shipments with tight follow-up through the full lifecycle.

Air Ocean Freight Coordinator / Agent
Salary: $55,000–$70,000

Hands-on air freight operations role with some ocean experience preferred. CargoWise required. Air freight must be the majority of recent experience — not procurement and not primarily ocean.

Responsibilities

• Manage air freight shipments A–Z from origin to final delivery.
• Book cargo, coordinate pickups, prepare documentation, follow up with airlines, track, arrange delivery, and bill.
• Work with airlines, truckers, customers, and internal offices on bookings, pickups, docs, and cargo recovery.
• Monitor milestones, flag delays/exceptions early, and fix issues to hold service levels.
• Keep documentation, system updates, costs, and final billing accurate.
• Support air freight quotes by checking routing, transit times, capacity, and operational feasibility.
• Handle priority and complex shipments with tight follow-up through the full lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on air freight operations in freight forwarding.
• Strong air export and/or air import operations experience.
• CargoWise experience (must-have).

• Able to run multiple shipments, priorities, and urgent requests independently in a fast-paced environment.
