Job summary

FreightTAS in Miami, FL, seeks an Air Ocean Freight Coordinator / Agent to manage air cargo from origin to final delivery, with some ocean freight exposure welcome.

This hands-on role requires CargoWise proficiency, AES/TSA knowledge, and the ability to handle multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll join a globally connected team and work across our network to ensure on-time performance, accurate documentation, and smooth billing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on air freight operations in freight forwarding.
• Strong experience in air export and/or air import operations.
• CargoWise experience (must-have).
• Knowledge of AES, TSA requirements, and air freight documentation.
• Able to manage multiple shipments and urgent requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage air freight shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Book cargo, coordinate pickups, prepare docs, follow up with airlines, track, deliver, and bill.
• Coordinate with airlines, truckers, customers, and internal offices on bookings and docs.
• Monitor milestones, flag delays early, and resolve issues to maintain service levels.
• Keep documentation, system updates, costs, and final billing accurate.
• Support air freight quotes by checking routing, transit times, capacity, and feasibility.
• Handle priority and complex shipments through full lifecycle.

Air Ocean Freight Coordinator / Agent - HOU - LAX - CHI - MIA
Salary: $55,000–$70,000

Hands-on air freight operations role with some ocean experience preferred. CargoWise required. Air freight must be the majority of recent experience — not procurement and not primarily ocean.

• Manage air freight shipments A–Z from origin to final delivery.
• Book cargo, coordinate pickups, prepare documentation, follow up with airlines, track, arrange delivery, and bill.
• Work with airlines, truckers, customers, and internal offices on bookings, pickups, docs, and cargo recovery.
• Monitor milestones, flag delays/exceptions early, and fix issues to hold service levels.
• Keep documentation, system updates, costs, and final billing accurate.
• Support air freight quotes by checking routing, transit times, capacity, and operational feasibility.
• Handle priority and complex shipments with tight follow-up through the full lifecycle.
