Job summary

Buckland is seeking an Air & Ocean Specialist, Senior to join our team in the United States. You will coordinate documentation and advances for clearance, manage delivery after clearance, and supervise entry/entry summary processes to ensure compliance with US regulations.

You will work closely with forwarders, ensure POD is supplied, and participate in expediting and tracing as needed while supporting profitability through accurate billing and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Intermediate MS Office experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate handling of documentation and advances for clearance.
• Monitor and control entry/entry summary preparation for shipments.
• Ensure shipments are entered in accordance with US CFR.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
• Work with forwarders on a daily basis.
• Ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) is supplied.
• Expedite and trace shipments as required.
• Assist in determining profit levels and billing.
• Process required customs documentation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain department processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role

This position is responsible for coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control all entry/entry summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
• Responsible for all Import of Air & Ocean shipments.
• Work with forwarders on daily basis.
• Ensure POD is supplied.
• Expediting and tracing as required.
• Determination of profit levels and billing.
• Process required customs documentation.
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of department processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
