Job summary

SpaceXAI in the United States seeks an exceptional network engineer to design, deploy, and operate high‑bandwidth AI training fabrics across production campuses. You will work on low‑latency networks, 400G/800G optics, and automation tooling in a fast‑paced, high‑reliability environment.

The role requires hands‑on expertise, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with siteOps, compute, storage, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 3+ years of professional network engineering experience.
• Extensive hands‑on experience designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks in latency‑sensitive environments.
• Experience with multiple network vendors in production or lab environments.
• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, low-latency, high-bandwidth networks for AI training fabrics and related infrastructure.
• Design and maintain data center and campus networks in line with company standards and collaborate with connected teams.
• Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware including 400G/800G capable devices.
• Contribute to automation tooling and scalable deployment frameworks (GitOps / IaC).
• Plan network changes with stakeholders and perform updates during off-peak windows when possible.
• Troubleshoot network issues, publish RCA, and support cluster bring-up and on-call rotations.
