Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to design, build, and run networks for AI supercomputer campuses. You’ll support fabrics for GPU training, inference clusters, and site operations, delivering low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity while maintaining security and reliability.

The role requires hands-on experience in data-center networks, strong scripting skills, and the ability to work in high-flux environments. Expect on-call rotations and occasional travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 5+ years of network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, low-latency networks for AI training fabrics and campus networks.
• Collaborate with SiteOps, compute, storage and enterprise teams to maintain data-center networks.
• Deploy 400G/800G hardware and related appliances.
• Develop and mature network automation tooling (GitOps / IaC).
• Coordinate network change windows with stakeholders and perform updates.
• Troubleshoot network issues affecting cluster health and publish RCAs.
• Provide on-call networking support during operations and expansions.
• Enhance network monitoring and telemetry for fabric health and NCCL performance.
• Create and update network documentation and design drawings.
• Work with cross-functional teams to avoid systemic failure modes in AI fabrics.
