Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a network engineer to design and operate high‑performance networks for AI training fabrics and campus interconnects. You will work in a fast-paced environment, delivering low‑latency, reliable networks while collaborating with compute, storage, and SiteOps teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with data-center class switches, NCCL-aware traffic patterns, and automation tooling; expect occasional extended hours and on-call responsibilities in support of production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 networks in latency-sensitive environments.
• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, low-latency networks for AI training fabrics and clusters.
• Maintain data center and campus networks per standards; collaborate with adjacent teams.
• Deploy 400G/800G hardware and related appliances; support automation tooling.
• Publish RCA and host retrospectives for network issues.
• Provide on-call networking support during cluster bring-up and production campaigns.
