Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking an exceptional network engineer to support our supercomputer infrastructure and mission-critical networks. You will design, implement, and operate highly available networks across production and launch environments, coordinating with adjacent teams and ensuring security and ITAR-compliant controls.

The role requires hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 networks, vendor ecosystems (Cisco/Arista/Juniper), and IaC tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or STEM with 3+ years of network engineering experience.
• Or 5+ years of network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networks in latency-sensitive environments.
• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code Frameworks (Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available networks for production and launch.
• Design and maintain data center and site networks per standards.
• Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware (switches, firewalls, SD-WAN).
• Contribute to network automation tooling and deployment framework.
• Coordinate network outage windows for updates and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot network issues and publish RCA documentation.
• Provide on-call networking support during launches and operations.
• Tailor monitoring for improved telemetry and issue detection.
• Create and update network documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent systemic failures.
