Job summary

OpenAI seeks a Solutions Engineer to partner with customers and ensure they achieve measurable value from ChatGPT and the OpenAI API. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand pre-sales needs, guide AI strategy, and identify high-value use cases, then demonstrate architectural patterns to kickstart implementation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical pre-sales or similar role with complex global organizations.
• Understanding IT security principles and security/compliance for B2B SaaS products.
• Foundational training in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience delivering Generative AI or ML prototypes and knowledge of network/cloud architecture.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for executives and technical teams.
• Willingness to own problems end-to-end and learn as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pre-sales customer experience with technical expertise and product questions.
• Show how OpenAI APIs and ChatGPT meet business needs; build demos; scope use cases; propose architecture patterns.
• Create and maintain documentation, guides, and FAQs from pre-sales interactions.
• Develop and nurture strong customer relationships during evaluation and purchasing stages.
• Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams to inform product planning.
• Serve as first line for security/compliance questions and guide customers to relevant resources.
