Gusto is seeking a highly skilled, customer-facing engineer to own technical discovery and end-to-end implementation for client engagements. You will scope, build, embed with the client, and ship production-ready agents and multi-agent systems that reduce manual workload and improve compliance outcomes.

You will communicate with technical and executive stakeholders, turning ambiguous opportunities into concrete, scalable patterns.

Formación

• Demonstrated 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Proven track record shipping production systems in client environments.
• Deep technical discovery skills for ambiguity.
• Ability to scope technical solutions and build a reusable pattern.

Responsabilidades

• Scope & Qualify: provide a technical feasibility read early on opportunities.
• Define the Problem: gather requirements for Sales, Product, and Engineering.
• Prove It First: build a working proof-of-concept when needed.
• Make the Business Case: justify subscription with hours saved and risk reduced.
• Own the Build: embed with clients and write the code themselves.
• Clear the Blockers: fix data issues and jurisdiction mappings.
• Bridge the Gap: align technical and business stakeholders.
• Own the Handoff: deliver the build and runbooks.
• Close the Loop: feed insights back into product/go-to-market.
• Create Implementation Playbooks: patterns and deployment docs.
