Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Software Engineer - AI for the CoCounsel Forward Deployed Engineering team. You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions for legal customers, translating workflows into reliable technical implementations and evaluating AI outputs for accuracy and relevance.

Ideal candidates have 2-4 years of software engineering experience, Python proficiency, and familiarity with AI tooling and cloud APIs.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years software engineering experience.
• Hands-on Python and familiarity with AI/ML tooling and APIs.
• Understanding of core ML/LLM concepts, prompt design, evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AI Solution Engineers, Architects, and seniors to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions for legal customers.
• Translate legal workflows and business needs into reliable technical solutions using foundation models and enterprise platforms.
• Contribute to technical discovery, solution delivery, prototyping, integrations, and evaluation of AI outputs for legal use cases.
• Ensure deployed systems are practical, accurate, secure, and aligned with legal environments.
