Job summary

Thomson Reuters' CoCounsel Forward Deployed Engineering team seeks a Software Engineer - AI to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions for legal workflows, translating needs into reliable systems that combine foundation models and domain expertise.

You will work hands-on, assist with discovery, prototyping, integrations, and evaluation of AI outputs while ensuring practical, secure, and accurate deployments in legal contexts.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Python and AI/ML tooling.
• Experience integrating external APIs and building data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions for legal customers.
• Translate legal workflows into reliable technical tasks and implementations.
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance and hallucination risk.
• Collaborate with AI Solution Engineers, Architects, and cross-functional teams.
