Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director AI Security to establish and mature the enterprise AI Security program. The role reports to the CISO and leads governance, risk, and secure adoption of AI technologies across the enterprise.

The leader will recruit and guide a high-performing team of AI security architects, engineers, and specialists, coordinating with Legal, Privacy, and Business stakeholders to ensure secure, responsible AI deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in progressive cybersecurity leadership.
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and securing AI/ML.
• 2+ years AWS, GCP and/or Azure cloud security configuration and management.
• 2+ years experience in AI/ML application security.
• 5+ years leading security architecture or engineering organizations.
• Advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise AI Security strategy, operating model, governance framework, and multi-year roadmap.
• Establish enterprise AI security standards, policies, reference architectures, and secure development requirements for AI technologies.
• Lead AI security risk management including model governance, third-party AI assessments, AI inventory, threat modeling, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and lead AI Security organization including hiring, mentoring, budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Partner with technology, architecture, engineering, legal, privacy, procurement, and business leaders to securely enable enterprise AI adoption.
• Oversee AI security architecture reviews, secure design approvals, and security assessments for AI initiatives.
• Monitor emerging AI threats and regulatory developments; adjust strategy accordingly.
• Develop enterprise standards for acceptable AI usage and AI model governance processes.
