Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director AI Security to establish and mature the enterprise AI Security program. Reporting to the CISO, this leader will shape strategy to secure AI technologies while enabling responsible innovation across the company.

The role leads a team of AI security architects and engineers, partnering with executive stakeholders to ensure governance, compliance, and secure adoption of AI across business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computerscience, Information Security, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Data Science or related field (Preferred).
• 10+ years in progressive cybersecurity leadership (Required).
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and securing AI/ML (Required).
• 2+ years in AWS, GCP, and/or Azure cloud security configuration and management (Required).
• 2+ years in application security with an emphasis on AI/ML (Required).
• 5+ years leading security architecture or engineering organizations (Required).
• CSSLP, CISSP, CCSP certificates optional/required as noted (varied).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise AI Security strategy, operating model, governance, and roadmap.
• Establish AI security standards, policies, reference architectures, and secure development requirements.
• Lead AI security risk management including model governance, third-party assessments, AI inventory, threat modeling, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and lead the AI Security organization including hiring, mentoring, budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Partner with technology, architecture, engineering, legal, privacy, procurement, and business leaders to securely enable AI adoption.
• Oversee AI security architecture reviews, secure design approvals, and security assessments for AI initiatives.
• Monitor emerging AI threats, regulatory developments, and best practices, adjusting strategy accordingly.
• Develop enterprise standards for acceptable AI usage; establish AI model governance processes; define security review requirements.
• Build enterprise AI risk assessment methodologies; create AI security metrics and executive dashboards.
• Represent Information Security on enterprise AI governance committees; perform additional duties as assigned.
