Job summary

Moderna is seeking a seasoned Red Team professional to design and execute advanced adversary simulations across lab, manufacturing, and cloud environments. You will build end-to-end campaigns, develop tooling, and work with IR/detection teams to harden defenses.

You will lead post-operation analyses and contribute to evolving red team maturity, while aligning with blue team measurements and threat intel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cybersecurity with red teaming or adversary simulations.
• End-to-end attack chain experience: initial access to data exfiltration.
• Expertise in network penetration, AD exploitation, cloud attacks, and AI systems.
• Experience with OT or lab-connected systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and offensive tooling.
• OPSEC discipline and ability to operate under blue team monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document full-spectrum red team operations across digital, physical, and hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain offensive toolchains and infrastructure for covert operations.
• Conduct external-to-internal attack simulations.
• Collaborate with detection and IR teams to measure time-to-detect and containment.
• Develop scripts/exploits in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go to simulate TTPs.
• Lead post-operation debriefs to derive new detections and security controls.
• Contribute to continuous red team maturity and program evolution.
