Job summary

Citizens Bank seeks a Manager, Red Team to lead and evolve the organization’s red team capabilities, simulating threats including AI-enabled scenarios to strengthen detection, response, and cyber resilience. You will own strategy, execution, and continuous improvement while partnering with Cyber Security, Operations, and Threat teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in offensive security.
• Experience leading Red Team and Purple Team engagements.
• Strong understanding of attacker methodologies and enterprise attack paths.
• Experience testing AI-enabled products or workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise Red Team program with adversary emulation and testing.
• Lead and mentor a team of Red Team professionals through coaching and development.
• Design realistic Red Team and Purple Team engagements, including AI scenarios.
• Assess AI-related risks and incorporate them into testing strategies.
• Ensure safety, ethics, and guardrails in all Red Team activities.
• Partner with Cybersecurity Operations and other teams to strengthen detection and response.
• Define standards, tools, processes, and performance metrics for Red Team ops.
• Translate findings into actionable risk mitigations for leadership.
• Support audits, compliance, and risk management through testing and validation.
• Maintain awareness of evolving threat actor tactics and industry best practices.
