Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You will work as an end-to-end builder, close to users, product decisions, and production code, bridging ideas from an AI demonstration to a practical service.

The role demands founder-like ownership with disciplined testing and a bias for accessibility, maintainability, and simple, evidence-based designs. Hybrid office engagement is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• End-to-end delivery: take customer- or employee-facing software from concept through launch, learning, and adoption.
• Technical breadth across modern frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies, demonstrated through shipped work.
• Applied AI experience: hands-on with large language models, retrieval, tools, or comparable AI patterns.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for systems with variable or probabilistic outputs.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, recovery, and performance improvement.
• User-centered practice: work directly with users, designers, and product leaders to turn evidence into better product decisions.
• Engineering craft: clear specifications, maintainable code, thoughtful review, and sound technical trade-offs.
• Up to 50% travel and flexibility to go into the office in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user to understand real workflows and identify AI value.
• Test assumptions quickly with concise specifications, prototypes, and small releases that generate evidence.
• Own complete product slices spanning experience, services, data, AI behavior, and enterprise integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations to demonstrate usefulness and safety.
• Connect outcomes to behavior by instrumenting user journeys to relate adoption and system performance.
• Engineer for responsible use with clear permission boundaries, secure data handling, and graceful degradation.
• Own production quality by releasing incrementally, monitoring live behavior, and improving in response to incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs between experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns and evaluation assets across the platform.
