Job summary

Snowflake in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Solution Engineer to partner with the account sales team and channel partners. You will translate complex data challenges into Snowflake solutions, spanning technical and business conversations with executives and end users.

You will learn rapidly, demonstrate Snowflake’s value through demos and PoCs, and collaborate with Product, Engineering and Marketing to shape offerings and messaging while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Solution engineering/solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering etc)
• Outstanding presentation skills to technical and executive audiences
• Understanding of data architecture, data analytics and cloud technology
• Hands-on experience with SQL
• Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake’s solutions
• Customer-facing skills to communicate Snowflake's vision to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
• Demonstrate and communicate value of Snowflake throughout the sales cycle, from demo to PoC to design and implementation
• Create and develop technical champions in accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win
• Stay at the cutting edge of Snowflake technology and present roadmap features to customers/prospects
• Understand competitive technologies and how to position Snowflake effectively
• Collaborate with sales engineers to learn from wins and losses
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products and messaging
• Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events
• Collaborate with ecosystem and partners on account strategies
• Contribute to account & territory plans with the broader ecosystem
