Job summary

Kaizen Labs is seeking an experienced engineer to own internal tools end to end and build AI-powered systems that save time across departments. You will work with Proposals, Customer Ops, Sales, Design, and Engineering to scope and build impactful tooling, then roll it out and support adoption.

The role emphasizes turning vague stakeholder asks into concrete projects, shipping production AI features, and enabling the company to operate more efficiently with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of engineering, data, or applied AI experience.
• End-to-end project builds that are in use today.
• Fluent with AI tools and able to discuss failures and mitigations.
• Strong SQL and data modeling for warehouse use and model deployment.
• Ability to translate vague problems into well-scoped projects.
• Low ego with high-output rollout discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own internal tools end to end, from discovery to rollout and fixes.
• Build AI-powered internal systems like Bidbuddy: parsing, workflows, automated research.
• Collaborate with Proposals, Customer Ops, Sales, Design, and Engineering to scope work.
• Drive AI enablement across Kaizen so everyone uses the tools.
• Support external analytics layer inside Kaizen's platform for clients.
• Back up the deployment team during implementations.
