Genesys is seeking a Software Engineer to join the platform team, delivering reliable backend solutions and automation for CI/CD pipelines at scale. You will work with microservices, cloud infrastructure, and AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, and deployments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, learning from senior engineers, and contributing to scalable backend architecture while maintaining rigorous engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience with microservices or distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python for backend applications and automation tooling.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure a bonus).
• Familiar with CI/CD concepts, pipelines, automation tools, and version control.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding workflows.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement microservices for CI/CD pipelines and backend automation in Python.
• Develop APIs and automation components to improve deployment and testing environments.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve reliability of distributed backend services.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices with tools like Claude, Cursor, and Kiro while ensuring verification where needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and grow technical skills with guidance from senior engineers.
