Job summary

Genesys Cloud is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the CRM and Integrations team. You will design, build, and scale integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk and our embedded framework, delivering highly available cloud services.

Expect to work on distributed systems, focusing on integration points, contracts, and reliability. The role requires leadership, architectural influence, and hands-on delivery of scalable, secure UIs and services, with opportunities to shape AI-powered

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership and cross-team impact.
Strong understanding of modern web UI frameworks and REST API architectures.
Experience building and operating cloud-native or microservice-based applications.
Hands-on with at least one major CRM platform (Salesforce, ServiceNow, or equivalent).
Hands-on with at least one major CRM API (Apex, Lightning, NestJS, …).
Full-stack development with front-end and back-end challenges.
Proficiency in at least two modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, or equivalent).
Experience with NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks for RESTful services.
Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed design.
Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS).
Understanding of OAuth 2.0 / PKCE, WebRTC, and cross-origin patterns (iFrame, PostMessage).
Hands-on with automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
Self-starter with problem solving and pragmatism.

Responsibilities

Build modern integration solutions using web UI, REST APIs, and cloud services.
Develop and maintain integration capabilities with CRM systems and third‑party providers.
Collaborate with product, security, and operations to deliver reliable capabilities.
Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Write and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
Improve system reliability, scalability, performance, monitoring, and incident response.
Deploy and maintain large-scale AWS infrastructure focusing on reliability.
Participate in on-call rotation and improve service operations.
Foster innovation with AI-assisted development and modern engineering approaches.
Review code, mentor peers, and help other teams resolve platform pain points.
