Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the CRM and Integrations team. You will design, build, and scale integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, and embedded frameworks, delivering reliable, cloud-based services across voice and digital channels.

You will lead a distributed team, contribute to architectural direction, and focus on reliability, scalability, and operability while mentoring peers and advancing AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with cross-team impact.
• Strong knowledge of modern web UI frameworks and REST API architectures.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native or microservice-based apps.
• Hands-on experience with major CRM platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with major CRM APIs (Apex, Lightning, NestJS, …).
• Full-stack development with front-end and back-end skills.
• Proficiency in two modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte).
• Experience with NestJS or similar Node.js backends for REST services.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS).
• Understanding OAuth 2.0 / PKCE, WebRTC, and cross-origin patterns (iFrame, PostMessage).
• Automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
• Self-starter with strong problem solving and collaboration.
• Pragmatic, action-oriented, growth-minded.

Responsibilities

• Build integration solutions using web UI, REST APIs, and cloud services.
• Develop integrations with CRM systems and third‑party providers across the stack.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations teams.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Write and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, and end‑to‑end layers.
• Improve reliability, scalability, performance, monitoring and incident response.
• Deploy and maintain large-scale AWS infrastructure focusing on reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive service operations improvements.
• Foster innovation with AI-assisted development and modern engineering approaches.
• Mentor peers, review code, and help teams resolve platform pain points.
• Triage production incidents with AI-assisted workflows and ownership.
